Meet Annie Armstrong and Bill Eaglstein at the Alameda Ferry Dock at 9:30 am for a prompt 9:45 departure. Please note earlier time. We'll step out of time in Alameda by the Bay, going through its former naval base and amusement park turned state park. We'll then get lost in the maze of lagoons of Bay Farm Island before finding our way back to Alameda for a late lunch in a Burmese restaurant followed by a tour of some of its finest Victorians. About half of the route follows bike paths. Directions: From the South, take 880 going North and reach Alameda Island by Fruitvale Ave. going West. After crossing the Fruitvale Bridge the road is called Tilden Way. Turn left on Park then right on Central. Continue on Central which becomes Main. Continue past the signs for Rosenblum Cellars on your right and take a right into the parking lot to the Ferry Dock. If the Ferry Doc lot is full there is street parking nearby. For GPS, use the Rosenblum address - 2900 Main Street, Alameda. Questions? Annie Armstrong [masked] (day of ride only)) and Bill Eaglstein [masked]). Rain cancels.
