I found a few old mines above Copper Creek. I haven't hiked up to any of these yet, but Google Earth is showing there are still buildings standing. There are several mine sites within walking distance from each other. The scenery around these mountains is amazing. You should have at least moderate hiking skills and be in good health. Bring a light lunch or a snack and at least a quart of water. This will by necessity be a full day trip. You will need a back pack, hiking shoes, a light rain jacket or poncho and a change of socks in case the ones you are wearing get wet. Expect that there may be snow on the ground in places. Bring a camera.
I posted this in another group as well.
