I am NOT accepting new memberships.
This group is about some of the best things in the world: friends, film, and food, not necessarily in that order. Our movie choices are very eclectic, including old ones, new ones, independent, foreign, and the biggest of big studio productions. There's something magical about seeing a movie on a big screen with a crowd of other people, especially friends. Comedies are funnier, thrillers are scarier, and tear-jerkers are tearier when the experience is shared.
Our main venues are The Landmark, the Nuart, Laemmle's Royal, and the Sundance Sunset Cinema, and our membership dues are $3 per year. After the meetup costs are met, any extra money will be donated to The American Film Institute and Film Independent. We're not about making money from this meetup. We mostly want people who truly love the movies and will attend our events.
