Announcing a new Meetup for Los Angeles Film Enthusiasts!

What: SOME LIKE IT HOT @ Archlight Theatre, Wed. April 29th @ 8:00PM

When: April 29,[masked]:45 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: I apologize for taking so long to post this movie. Here it is: the hilarious classic SOME LIKE IT HOT!!!. It's the final film in the Siren Series. It's playing on Wed. April 29th at 8pm. Details to follow, but for now, just make sure that you buy your ticket!!! It's Billy Wilder you know.

Film Summary:

In 1929 Chicago, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis play a pair of bumbling musicians who, after accidentally witnessing a St. Valentine's Day gangland massacre, disguise themselves as women and join a traveling, all-female band to escape the mobsters hot on their trail. SOME LIKE IT HOT was nominated for six Academy Awards and won three Golden Globes, including Best Picture - Comedy. SOME LIKE IT HOT--Marilyn Monroe's second film with Billy Wilder--is one of the funniest movies ever made, and has one of the best last lines in cinema. There is no better way to see Lemmon, Curtis and Monroe in their prime (and celebrate the film's 50th anniversary) than to see it the way it was meant to be seen--on the big screen. Marilyn Monroe is the #6 female legend on the AFI 100 Years...100 Stars list, and the film is #1 on AFI 100 Years...100 Laughs.
