I'm excited for yet another Halloween Party at the Hollywood Castle. I've decided that our (DWS) theme for this years DWS Haunted Castle Halloween Party with DJ Richard Blade will be based around Superhero's, Villians and Cohorts, but don't let that scare you, you can come in whatever costume you like, as long as you are in a costume.

We had a great party last year, a whole lot of fun, dancing drinking and socializing at this mega Meetup Only Mixer. Drinking With Strangers with co-sponsorship by Dive Bar Adventures and No Flakes are again throwing this super successful party, and this year making it that much better with different food vendor(s), more accessible punch, drink specials, entertainment, and multiple DJ’s on different levels of the Castle (in the works), more shuttles, a dedicated parking lot and more.

About our entertainment this year:

Richard Blade (, the famous LA 80's DJ heard on K-Rock and Daily on Sirius & XM Satellite Radio Channel 22 will again be spinning on the lower level dance floor.

Kept everyone on their feet…

The Living Room will be toned down, we'll work on getting another DJ (DJ 1iam maybe) up there for that Hollywood Lounge feel, turn down the lights and make it just a little more cozy for those of you who just want to sit back and chill in the beautiful multi level area with your newly made friends.

Who know's, we may also use our friend DJ Ali ( (of the Main-on-Main party) somewhere in the castle as well…

Gary formerly of Sharkeez, currently of Boogaloo's ( amongst other hosted our bars last year. We all thoroughly appreciated some of his girls with their green syringe filled Jello Shots, and cheap but good drinks which we will have this year.

This will be Drinking With Strangers 3rd Huge Halloween Party and
It will be our 2nd Anniversary at The Hollywood Castle with Richard Blade.

Q: One of the first questions we always get is why so expensive?

A: Well my fellow strangers, renting a castle ain't cheap, this 11,000sq ft home has hosted more parties and films than you can imagine, currently a realty show is taping, but my favorite video clip of the castle is when Johnny Depp swims up and out of the moat in Tom Petty's And The Heartbreakers - Into The Great Wide Open ( Ask Frank or Adam about the Rob Zombie Party, Circe-De-Solie, or the Batcave!

That's right, from the castle you can look down to the 1960's Batman Series Batcave. Below in this photo I inadvertently took last year during the setup (and not knowing that it was the batcave!).

Q: How much work does it take to put something like this together?
A: Weeks of planning, purchasing, driving, renting, hundreds of hours in front of a computer designing and organizing, just take a look of 100 of hundreds of photos and explanations from last years setup, click on the photo below to see the making of the 2008 Halloween Party:

Q: There are many other costs that you can't imagine; a celebrity DJ, Security, Lighting, Sets, Cleaning Crews, Contracts with our vendors, giveaway booze, and enormous deposits. Did I mention renting potties, tables and chairs too? Lastly the 10-12 shuttle busses that will be circling from the lots in Hollywood to bring you up to the castle all night.
Last year we charged $45.00 and narrowly broke even and only by overselling the event.
Our contract allows for up to 800 guests, with a steep increase to any guest over 600.
So, we are going to sell it like this:
The first 600 paid RSVP's will be charged $50.00
The next 200 will be charged $70.00 to cover the increased cost per our contract
Get on the ball, keep checking back to this site, tell your friends, and get your costume ready.
