Jesus wasn't interested in gathering crowds and funneling them into churches, he was interested in transforming the world! Some two thousand years later, how are we doing at that? I cursory look around seems to suggest we may have been focused on the wrong things. What if "church" wasn't Sunday morning or even Saturday night. What if "church" is more important than "the show?" Let's bring good questions and not expect "pat" answers and see what God might do in our midst.
I know this group has been in active for a while and for that I apologize, we had some weird dynamics going on for a bit. As we get going, I invite you to join me for a Blessing of the Animals this Sunday. If you have a beloved 4 legged member of your family please bring them to a special outdoor worship experience -- details below. After the event, join me in debriefing the experience and sharing what sucked and what didn't. All ideas are on the table as we look together at what it means to be a community of people who are trying to do what Jesus did. Do we call it church? does it happen weekly? Is it worship with Songs?
