"Turlock, the Documentary" - Movie Showing @ the Library

Join us for a free BIG SCREEN showing of the incredible animal rescue film, "Turlock: the Documentary!"

I will provide vegan snacks and beverages. If you wish, bring a vegan snack to share.

The film will be shown in the large auditorium located in the downstairs section of the library.

About “Turlock, the Documentary”:

Go inside the largest rescue of farm animals in California history. Follow Animal Place rescuers as they negotiate the release of chickens from a battery cage egg farm, where the egg farmer had abandoned 50,000 hens without food for more than two weeks.

Animal Place, a sanctuary for farmed animals, puts everything on the line in an effort to save as many lives as possible. Through the emotional darkness, rescuers find light in the fragile beings they are able to save.

“I have no doubt that every viewer will come away a changed person - for the better.” – Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, bestselling author

Visit Animal Place’s website at .

Turlock, the Documentary is not rated, however please note that it does contain a small amount of graphic imagery and is suggested for a high school to adult audience.

I'm torn about doing it. I live 1 hr 41 min away according to my phone so would have to leave out of there right at 1 in order to get back to host my 3:00 meet up! Which, I guess, means I wouldn't have time to socialize. So I should probably save gas and watch the documentary online. :-(

Hi, I'm a new member and really want to see the film and meet folks. But have to be back here in Greensburg, PA before 3:00. Are you showing the 50-minute version or a longer one?

Hi Lee! According to the DVD case, this is the 50-minute version.
