Our group is a growing group of cheese hobbyists located primarily in Sonoma County. The cheesemaking hobby has been gaining momentum and confidence in the past couple of years and this club plans to build on that momentum to advance the hobby...and of course to have fun with it! The meetings take place within Sonoma County. What type of meetings? Of course we will learn that as we go, but creamery tours, how-to demonstrations, style talks, cheese and recipe sharing, pairings, and more yet to be conceived ideas can be expected. Please join in. All ages and demographics are desired.
Movie Night: another Wheyward Bound tradition. Join us as we watch episodes of Will Studd’s “Cheese Slices” documentary. Staying close to home we’ll visit Norther California artisan cheesemakers and the Farmer’s Market at the San Francisco Ferry Building. Then for a trip over the pond, we’ll visit the village of Cheddar in Somerset, England. David will provide samples of Cheddar cheese. Please bring food enough for 6 people e.g. cheese, bread, crackers, veggies, fruit, wine or salad etc… Social starts at 6:30PM with everything wrapping up by 8:30PM.
