Familiar with The Algonquin Round Table? It was a celebrated group of New York City writers, critics, artists, and wits in the 20's, including such famed members as Dorothy Parker (during a game of charades with the group, she was given the word "horticulture," and she came up with the line, "You can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think."). Fast-forward to the 21st century, and enter a new table for talented female artists looking to connect, critique, and create. This table is actually going to be rectangular – not round – at the hostess' pad, with free-flowing wine and stimulating conversation. Interested in surrounding yourself with inspiring female artists? Then please reach out to Marisa, the Rectangular Table hostess, and let her know what your artistic pursuits are and what you hope to gain from the group.
Lastly, SERIOUS WOMEN ARTISTS ONLY. Please submit a link to your work. If you don't eat, sleep, and breathe your art, this is probably not the group for you….
Welcome Wicked Women Artists!
Location is shown only to members
Welcome to our first Meetup! I'm excited to bring together an intimate gathering of women to wax poetic about their work, their goals, and their wants for this group. Over a glass – or two! – of wine, we'll share our struggles/successes being female artists in Los Angeles. Prepare for some enriching conversation and brand-new friendships...
