It's the beginning of berry season! Of course, Humboldt is heavy with blackberries later in the season, but we are blessed with a wide variety of local berries, including salmonberry, thimbleberry, salal berry, huckleberry, and more!
Come explore the local landscape with us as we stroll along. Co-led with wild edible-enthusiast Trinity Calabrese. We'll be identifying a few species by berry, flower, and leaves, and pop a few in-season berries in our mouth. Focus will be edibles, but we'll take a look at non-edible berries.
This might appeal to everybody from beginners to those who have been enjoying berries for years and want to connect with others in nature. This is a family-friendly and FREE event.
Limited to 12 participants.
