Our precious wildlife habitats are under threat and much of this is due to ignorance. How can we best support our local community to encourage best practices and prevent the bad ones? This meeting aims to share your views and ideas of what we can do. For example, we could put leaflets about the do’s and don’ts of garden habitats maintenance in estate agent packs for people moving into Cookham. We could run education sessions for local professional gardening, landscaping companies and tree surgeons. We could provide advice on what to do - and what the law is - when you see someone wilfully destroying trees and other bits of our local environment. There is a lot we could do and it all takes time and resources so what do you think are the priorities and how are we going to action these?
Your wildlife needs you. Please come and join us for this important discussion about the start of creating our action plan, led by WildCookham founder Cindy Barnes, and share your views.
Tea and coffee will be provided. This is a free event, but as ever a £3 donation is suggested.
