Ever dreamed of being more than a tourist? This month, we are going to explore what it is like to work, study, and retire abroad. This will be a panel discussion from people who have done this.
This is a free meetup, however, we ask for a $3 - $5 donation from all attending to cover costs and buy our panel presenters a beer. We also ask that attendees support the venue by purchasing food and/or drink. The British Overseas Restaurant Corp is staying open only for our group - so we will have the entire restaurant.
There is limited seating, so ONLY RSVP IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND. It is important that I have an accurate headcount. If your plans change after signing up - go to Meetup.com and switch your RSVP, preferably by the Friday before as that is when I give final numbers to the venue. Talk Travels are often super popular and have wait-lists. So, no showing is tough on other travelers, the speaker, and the venue. Please be considerate and honor your RSVP.
Rachel Crockford has just returned from nine months in New Zealand. There she worked sorting apples. To do this, she had a working holiday visa.
Dan Bare has worked in Scotland, studied in Australia, and lived in Thailand on a "pre-retirement" visa.
Mary Marten is preparing to retire to Portugal. She has done extensive research on how to do this and will share what she has learned.
Our Meetup Hosts:
Shyla & Dan Bare are International Travel Experts and co-founders of Wild Spirit Travel (www.WildSpiritTravel.com). They started this meetup group to hang-out with other travelers and to share the travel tips they learned while doing a seven-year trip around the world.
