Living overseas is different to traveling abroad. Yet, many travelers dream of one day living in a foreign country. That is why we have made it a tradition to discuss what it is like to live overseas every November. This year, we will have people sharing on the Expat Life. Learn about expat clubs, renting homes, getting involved in the community, and more, all from people that have done it. (Expat definition = a person who lives outside their native country.)
If you are thinking about moving abroad, come talk to people that have lived in countries around the world. And, if you have lived overseas, come share your experiences. Talk Travels are free, however, all attendees are asked to donate $5 to cover meetup costs and buy the speakers a drink.
This month, we will be at Shine Distillery in NE Portland. Shine is new in Portland, and one of the only distillery-restaurants in one in the US. Included in the meetup will be the opportunity to taste some of Shine's spirits. Also, please plan to buy food and/or drink to support the venue. The menu should have something for everyone including vegan and gluten-free options. Happy hour ends at 6, so arrive early if you want a deal. More information at https://shinedistillerygrill.com/.
Talk Travels are often super popular and get wait-lists. So no showing is tough on other travelers that want to attend but can't, the speakers, and the venue. Please be considerate and honor your RSVP.
