What would your medicine cabinet would look like if you replaced your over the counter stuff with herbal remedies? Now is your chance to find out! In this series, we will make salves, balms, tinctures, syrups, compresses, and teas to treat everthing from cuts, scrapes and muscle aches to cold and flu.

We will spend 3 afternoons in the kitchen, using lawn weeds and common garden herbs to produce medicines that can take the place of over the counter remedies. Participants will learn about the healing properties of the plants, as well as the techniques for extracting and preserving the medicinal qualities. These classes will not include a plant walk. All plants will be pre-harvested so that we can focus on learning the techniques.

In Part 1 (2/2), we will make First Aid Salve, Headache Tincture, Cold and Flu Tincture, and Tummy Tea.
In Part 2 (2/16), we will make Muscle Ache Balm, Sleep Solution, Cough and Cold Syrup, and Itch and Bite Butter.
In Part 3 (3/2) we 2ill make Tooth and Gum Rub (which the dentist swears saved my husband from a root canal), Eye Relief Compress, Stress Less Lotion, and Health Maintenance Teas.

Take 1 class, 2 classes, or take the entire series and replace your OTC medicines with your own, homemade remedies. $40 per class or $100 for entire series.
