Let's Learn about the Path

It has been requested to have a time to learn what it means to be Earth Based.

In response to this request I am reestablishing the CUUPs Sunday evening group.

We are planning to have on going discussions about different topics. This will be a bit more formal than the Brown Bag discussion group, but not much more so.How the discussion usually happen is that there is a person who is knowledgeable on the topic. That person introduces the topic an may talk about it for a while then open the discussion for questions, comments, anecdotes etc.

These discussions can get quite lively and be a lot of fun. I always find that I learn something new on each topic regardless of how much I have studied it. These groups are designed to be interesting to everyone from the beginner to the adept.

The group consensus for the month of February will be energy work. Grace is going to start us out with a discussion on Chakras and Auras.

We are looking for volunteers to lead discussions on other types of energy work.

There is no charge, however there will be a donation cauldron if anyone has a burning desire to contribute.

ha! that's an understatement! she has a TON of things! but, it's fun to bring your own too. Angela introduced me and my family to this very recently and it was just amazing. totally like a vision board, but with sand. very powerful stuff.

Certainly; sandtray visioning is akin to doing a personal vision board with images, affirmations, focused meditation or prayer. Drawing from Art/Play Therapy, one creates a world with miniature objects in a container of sand to represent goals, hopes or dreams...what they wish to attract or let go of in life. It can honor of someone they love or a meaningful event. It tells a story.

A disclosure: I am not a licensed therapist (yet!) and as such this is not meant to be clinical work. This work has a spiritual focus, wherein the individual will glean what they need to from their own internal creative force. I am happy to serve as a guide in the process. I have an LMSW and have 3 yrs experience doing sandtray as a volunteer working with bereaved youth. I want to share my love for this creative modality by adapting it to a spiritual path. Links:

Yes this is the day! I will make sure someone is there to open the space up for you. Would you be so kind as to put up a short description of what sand tray visioning is. A couple of people have asked me and I find that I have only the vaguest idea of what it is.

Is this the day I'll be leading the sand tray visioning? I'll need to come early to set up. Perhaps around 4?
