What are some of your favorite outdoor activities? Your answers help in planning trips that members will enjoy attending.

I enjoy backpacking a lot. The simple pleasure of hiking several miles to a mountain lake and finding the perfect spot to set up camp. I also love soaking at the hot springs.

What are a few of your favorite hiking trails? It doesn't have to be in Oregon.

Just about anywhere in the Cascades. I've done quite a few, but I mostly enjoy trails that have a waterfall or two to see. My top three are Opal Creek, Green Lakes Trail connected to the Soda Creek Trail, and the trail along Rosary Lakes to the summit of Maiden Peak.

What outdoor adventures would you most likely attend?

Day hikes, backpacking trips, mountain biking, snowshoeing, camping trips, trail running, beachcombing, and soaking at the hot springs.

Do you have a recent profile picture of yourself to help others recognize you? Do understand your own capabilities and responsibilities in participating in the outdoor events offered by Willamette Valley Outdoors and its volunteer leaders?

Yes, I have a profile picture of myself for others to recognizing me at events. I agree, and understand the responsibilities.

Would you be interested in becoming an Event Organizer and helping to set up and lead various outdoor adventures for everyone to enjoy? If so, what events would you be willing to organize and lead?

I am the Founder and Organizer for Willamette Valley Outdoors.

Introduction

I'm a native Oregonian that loves being outdoors. I hike throughout the week, and try to backpack a few times a month. Throughout the seasons I also mountain bike, snowboard, and snowshoe. I enjoy seeing as much of Oregon as I can.

What Matthew H. is saying about this Meetup Group

I'm enjoying seeing this group grow and become a contributing factor in the local outdoor community. It's good to see a large group of friends enjoy the trails together, work to keep them well maintained, and to educate ourselves on proper trail etiquette. Willamette Valley Outdoors is a great group to meet new friends, see more of the outdoors, and stay in shape.
