5, 10K rated 2A This walk goes to an overlook of the city by walking past several city parks and through historic and newer neighborhoods in the original capitol city. Restrooms at start/finish and along the route.

Driving Directions: From I-205 north or south, take exit 9 (Oregon City). Go left on McLaughlin Blvd (Hwy. 99) for a short distance. Turn Turn left on 14th Ave. At signal, turn left on Washington. Turn right on 15th and go up the hill until you see the hospital straight ahead. NOTE: Please park your vehicle on the street - NOT in hospital lots.

Meeting place: Meet at the kiosk by overflow parking lot 3 & near the Dog Park.

The 10k has 2 5k loops, one of which is the 5k. You may view Deer, Bald Eagles, and other small wildlife on this walk.You will also have a good view of an osprey nest. You will be walking on paved and nature trails.

Driving directions: I-5 take exit 253, head to Salem City Center, continue three blocks on Mission to Commercial St, turn left onto Commercial Street and get into the right lane. Turn right onto Owens Street. Owens curves to the left and becomes River Road. Go for about a mile. Turn right at irst traffic light onto Minto Island Road into park. Follow park roadway to the end at parking area 3. Walk begins at the information kiosk adjacent to parking area.

Voted one of the top walks in the USA, this 11/12K walk covers the canyon trail from South Falls to North Falls. You will view nine spectacular waterfalls and walk behind three of them. Trails are natural, pave, wood chip and stairs. Wear sturdy shoes and carry water. There is a $5.00 State Park entrance fee per car or use Oregon State Park pass. There is a 1K add-on (easy) to view the 10th waterfall.

Driving Directions: From I-5 take Exit 253. Go east toward Detroit/Stayton on Hwy. 22. Drive for 5 miles to take Exit 7. Left at stoplight onto 214. Drive 16.7 miles. Turn left into South Falls parking lot area far end by restrooms and restaurant.

This walk starts by going up to the Abbey (founded in 1881). You will pass the stations of the cross, a small grotto, a pioneer church and cemetery and chapel on the campus. The route then goes through this unique German town, passing St. Mary's Church, the Glockenspiel Restaurant (largest glockenspiel in the U.S.), a second pioneer cemetery, a hops field, 2 parks and an historic railroad station. The walk is rated 2 because of the Abbey hill; the rest of the walk is a 1.

Driving directions: From the north on I-5, take the Woodburn Exit #271. Follow the signs east to Mt. Angel along Hwy. 214. Turn left on Church Street. From the south on I-5 take the Market St exit (256) Follow the signs east along Hwy. 213 to Silverton. At the traffic light, turn left on "C" St. to First St. Turn left on First St./Hwy. 214 to Mt. Angel. Turn right on Church St. Follow Church St. up the hill (Church becomes College) to Towers Lane on the left.
