Spring Migration Bird Walks
Again this year, WAG will have weekly bird walks for Spring migration. You can join our guides who will help point out the warblers, vireos, tanagers, thrushes, flycatchers, hawks and other migrants which are returning to North America for the summer. This year we will alternate locations at Booty's Road Park and Berry Springs Park. The peak time for neotropical migrants to come through Texas is from mid-April to mid-May, so we will have these walks on April 19 at Booty's Road Park, April 25 at Berry Springs Park, May 2 at Booty's Road Park and May 10 at Berry Springs Park. The sign ups for Berry Springs Park on April 25 will open on April 11. Remember to bring your binoculars, water, sun protection and dress for the weather.

Meetings and Field Trips: To accomplish our mission, WAG will hold bi-monthly field trips from September through May and provide four evening programs during the year. Those persons interested in birding at all levels of expertise are encouraged to join us. We especially encourage beginners.

On this website you can share pictures, check the calendar for upcoming events, participate in discussions and contact fellow members. We encourage the sharing of unusual sightings, the posting of bird lists from your times in the field, and your suggestions for activities for the group. Our goal is to provide a forum as well as have fun and enjoy all of nature with a focus on birds.

For information about birding sites in and near Williamson County, visit www.centraltexasbirding.com (http://www.centraltexasbirding.com/). The Central Texas Birding website is operated by members of Williamson Audubon Group and Travis Audubon Society.
