4560 County Road 258, Liberty Hill, TX
Join Jim Hailey at Tejas Camp Park on the west side of Lake Georgetown to look for sparrows, towhees and other winter birds. A Common Merganser and a Zone-tailed Hawk have also been seen here recently. This is an interesting location and a good opportunity for new birders. There are several trails that parallel the North San Gabriel River and the site has vault toilets. Check out the park website for more information.
Sign-ups for this trip will open November 26 and attendance will be limited to 16 participants.
Our trips usually last around 3 hours, but of course you can leave early or stay late as you desire. Remember to bring your binoculars, water and snack if you wish. You should dress for the weather and closed toe shoes are recommended.
Please note that Williamson Audubon Group field trips are intended for our paid-up members. You are welcome to attend one field trip if you are not a member, but you should be a paid-up member to come on subsequent trips. To become a paid-up member, click on the "more" link at the top of the home page and then select "files" on the drop down menu to get the membership form and information.
