Our group is for Chicagoland women, married/relationships or single, in their 40's and up, who want to make new friends and take full advantage of city living. We look forward to meeting you for dining out, concerts at Millennium Park, museum visits, yoga classes, and more.
To join our group, you must share a personal photo (no skyline shots or pics of your pets please) and thoughtfully respond to a few short questions that introduce you to other group members.
We’re big on kindness and courtesy, which is why we have a firm no-show policy. No-shows will be removed from the group. If we notice a pattern of changing your rsvp to “no” less than 24 hours before the start time, you will be removed from the group.
Come out for a midweek break for dinner at Farmhouse Chicago.
Farmhouse is a funky farm-themed hangout with salvaged decor serving American comfort food, regional beers & wines.
It's Picnic Time! Come join us after work for a delightful evening of music under the stars.
Everyone is encouraged (but not required) to bring a bottle of wine or snack to share. We'll provide blankets, but you can bring you a chair, if you prefer.
The concert begins at 6:30pm, but we can gather early to enjoy the evening.
I'll meet the earliest arrivers at the entrance to the Art Institute Modern Wing to walk over at 4:30pm. I'll have a Meetup sign in hand.
Arriving later? I'll share my cell phone # via email the day of the event to make it easy to find us.
Note that Millennium Park has changed their security procedures and has an updated list of prohibited items:
The Grant Park Chorus joins the orchestra for a world premiere commission by Syrian-American composer Kareem Roustom, along with the U.S. premiere of Carl Vine’s Choral Symphony. The program also includes Beethoven’s spirited Symphony No. 8 and Sibelius’ Karelia Overture.
*In the event of rain or other unfortunate weather, we'll update the event to an indoor location.
Saturday Free Workout Schedule
All classes are 45 minutes and are free! Begin your day with a workout on the Great Lawn in front of Pritzker Pavilion.
Tai Chi at 7am
Yoga at 8am
Pilates at 9am
Zumba at 10am
I plan to attend the yoga and possibly Pilates sessions that morning.
We can meet at back southwest corner of the Great Lawn (back left corner when looking at the stage). I will be there by 7:40 am.
This meetup is based on the weather and I’ll send an update the week of the event.
