Very excited to tell you about this event! Chicago Paddle Company (http://chicagopaddlecompany.com/) is hosting a special Skate & SUP (Stand-up Paddle Boarding) event for us. This will be a skate to Hollywood Beach where we will get a 1-hour Stand-up Paddle Boarding Lesson for a reduced rate of $25 (normally $35, incl. board rental and instructions). No previous SUP experience required. They will teach us basic skills and it is pretty intuitive, especially if you are a skater and have good balance. Don't miss this!

***Please make sure to sign-up on the Chicago Paddle Company Website and on meetup! ****

Sign-up and pay to reserve your spots. Spots are limited to 15 so hurry up!

Schedule:

For the skate you have two options depending on how far you want to skate. Here's the plan:

1:30 PM: Meet us on Fullerton right accross from the Theater by the Lake if you want to skate 5 Miles. We will wait until about 1:45PM. This is the exact location: http://goo.gl/maps/rqGzs If you are running late meet us at the next stop or at the Beach.

2:15PM: Meet us at Montrose Ave and Lakeshore Path if you want to skate only 2 Miles. This is the exact location: http://goo.gl/maps/nBNwi

2:45PM Arrive at Chicago Paddle Company. http://goo.gl/maps/QYqU5 Lesson starts at 3:00PM but we need to be there 15 min. early to sign a waiver and get our paddles sized.

4:00PM Food at Nacho Mama's Beach Cafe right next to Chicago Paddle Company

About 5:00PM: Skate back

What to bring:

- A swimsuit and/or quick drying performance clothing in case you do fall in. You probably won't but just in case bring a change of clothes too.

- A towel

- Suncreen

- Your skates, helmet, pads etc.

Again, this event is for all skill levels but as far as skating goes you need to be able to skate 2-5 Miles along the path and as always, you skate at your own risk.

Got it?

See you all there!
