'Ukulele Festival of Northern California!

"To promote and perpetuate the playing of 'ukulele music through an annual event for all levels of 'ukulele players while exposing the youth in hopes that they will carry on the traditions and music."

The Grand Daddy of all mainland 'ukulele festivals, now in its 19th year, is back! No workshops, but loads of 'ukulele talent performing on the stage all day long and a "marketplace" you don't want to miss! (Kani Ka Pila will be there in full force!)

Sale of raffle tickets ($1 each) supports PICA (Pacific Islander Cultural Association) scholarships and the prizes are usually noteworthy: round trip tickets to Hawai'i, a Kamaka 'ukulele, and more! (Must be present to win.) And there's usually a little jamming going on all over the place....This really is a super fun event and these folks have it down!

Here's the "official" scoop:

The 19th 'Ukulele Festival of Northern California is the longest running ukulele festival on the mainland. This local event has attracted 'ukulele enthusiasts from British Columbia (Canada), to the Islands of Hawai'i, as well as local talent throughout California. Be sure to mark your calendar!
