The Plot: Three siblings grew up with their noses in wine glasses. Now, instead of their father's tests, it is real life that challenges them as a family and as individuals.
The film opens in Los Angeles on Friday, March 30. I have a few free passes for screenings Monday-Thursday only, April 2-5, in Laemmle theatres in West LA, Encino, Pasadena.
The film opens in Irvine and Laguna Nigel tomorrow, Friday, March 23. I have a few free passes for Monday-Thursday only, March 26-29, in Irvine and Laguna Nigel.
You must email me at [masked] and furnish your email address to receive passes.
"Back To Burgundy" is not only set among the beautiful vineyards of prestigious estates like DRC, it will take you there to experience an emotional year in the lives of three wine making siblings, Jean, Juliette and Jeremie, as they struggle with the vintage, with each other and with themselves as they decide what to do with their late father's estate.
The film is absolutely authentic and details the fascinating processes of harvest, vinification and elevage. What makes it special is how the many critical wine decisions also engage their emotions and challenge their relationships with each other and their late father. In this world, lives and identities can't be separated from the soil, the vines, the grapes, or the wine.
Just let me know if you can make a screening. And please help spread the word among your wine friends.
