Hello! Welcome to the Winnipeg French Conversation Group.
The purpose of this group is to provide those who speak French the opportunity to meet up for French conversation. We are open to all levels, from beginners to exceptional speakers. You don't have to be 100% fluent to join us or attend. The idea is to get together as often as we can, to do various activities that give us a chance to enjoy doing something as a group, get to know each other, and chat in French in the process.
Dates and times vary, but we try to meet at least once a month, for coffee or another adventure. We have some amazing and dedicated volunteer Event Hosts, so there are usually a variety of events to choose from every month.
We usually post new Meetups a week or two in advance, so keep watch for fun and exciting opportunities to get together.
Repeating Meetups are always visible.
We regularly meet for coffee and conversation, but we have added new activities, such as going out for dinner, attending cultural celebrations, going to plays and movies en francais, and exploring history and the great outdoors. Everyone is welcome to attend everything! ;-) (We are always open to new ideas.)
So if you are an Anglophone or a Francophone who would like to maintain your conversational French or, for example, a student or fan of the French language and would like to improve your spoken French, we would love to have you!
We are a great group, with friendly outgoing and supportive members.
Don't hesitate to join. Come and try us out! ;-) We look forward to meeting you!
Bonjour!
