Caching Data in SQL Server Memory Optimized Tables
In this session, we’ll follow the journey the development team at Payworks took while implementing a caching system for their web application. We’ll start from why we needed to implement caching, briefly cover our initial Redis-backed implementation and it’s challenges, then follow the trail of unit tests we created while to switching to Memory Optimized tables in SQL. Along the way, we’ll discover a number of issues, implement solutions to overcome them, and compare the performance of our new system with the Redis-backed implementation.
