Lisa Snider, an archivist for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, will provide a crash course in Accessible Communications. This one-hour talk will familiarize editors with accessibility issues related to online and printed text. It will cover design choices that result in wider audience reach and the importance of improving accessibility of the written word. Lisa will also discuss the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA), which became law in 2013, and explain how AMA standards apply to writing and editing.
