With tech-inspired startup innovation as the prevailing theme, CyberTECH in partnership with the City of San Diego and ConsenSys will host the first in a series of Smart & Safe Cities Initiative events, starting with the Program Kickoff on Thursday, November 8, at NEST CoWork in San Diego’s Bankers Hill, 5 pm to 7:30 pm.
This initial event will serve as an invitation to locally-based startups, early-phase companies and aspiring entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services as they compete for seed funding.
The evening will include Smart & Safe Emerging Leaders Panel moderated to Smart & Safe Cities Darin Andersen.

The Program Kickoff will be followed by a similar startup showcase kickoff at CyberTECH on Monday, Dec. 3, culminating several months later with the first International Smart & Safe Cities Conference, to be held in San Diego on March 21, 2019. The conference, which will held at the University of San Diego (Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering) and expected to attract international experts in cybersecurity, privacy and smart cities and will feature a 3 month program funded with a $50,000 grant which may include prize money for pitchfest; part of a full schedule of high-level presentations, seminars, panels and guest speakers.
Fall food and beverages celebrating San Diego Beer Week will be served.
