Note: This is a 3-day weekend ride, offering three guided trail tours, Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28. Come for just a day or all three! The weekend is based out of Wilton, WI, at the midpoint of the Elroy-Sparta trail. If you prefer a road ride, choose Triple Chainring Weekend, which is also based out of Wilton on the same weekend.

The Elroy-Sparta Trail (http://www.elroy-sparta-trail.com/) is America's first Rails-to-Trails conversion, known for its 3 tunnels. This is a very flat trail, with very gradual grades leading up to each of the tunnels. The trail has a very hard packed crushed limestone and clay surface. A trail bike is preferred, but a road bike could also be used. You'll need to have a headlight for your bicycle or bring a flashlight to make your way through the tunnels.

After the rides on Friday and Saturday, we'll have group dinners with the road riders.

We've also done trail rides at night in past years.

Note: A Wisconsin state trail pass (http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/parks/fees/index.html#trailpass) is required to ride on the Elroy-Sparta Trail. There are many places in Wilton where you may purchase either a daily or annual trail pass.

Friday: Elroy (30 miles)
Friday's ride goes to the east end of the trail, to the town of Elroy, passing through a 1/4 mile tunnel along the way.

Plan to arrive at the start location, by the caboose at the Elroy-Sparta Trailhead in Wilton, between 1:00 PM and 1:15 PM. We will push-off promptly at 1:30 PM.

Saturday: Sparta (40 miles)
Saturday's ride goes to the west end of the trail, passing through 2 tunnels, to the town of Sparta. One tunnel is a 1/4 mile long while the other is 3/8 of a mile in length. A lunch stop is planned while in Sparta, proclaimed to be the Bicycling Capital of America, along with visit with Ben Biken, atop the World's Largest Bicycle.

Plan to arrive at the start location, by the caboose at the Elroy-Sparta Trailhead in Wilton, between 7:30 AM and 7:45 AM. We will push-off promptly at 8:00 AM.

Sunday: Elroy (30 miles)
Sunday's ride, a repeat of Friday's ride, goes to the east end of the trail, to the town of Elroy, passing through a 1/4 mile tunnel along the way.

Plan to arrive at the start location, by the caboose at the Elroy-Sparta Trailhead in Wilton, between 7:30 AM and 7:45 AM. We will push-off promptly at 8:00 AM.
