• "Is it Menopause?" Workshop presented by Jennifer

    Jennifer's Livingroom

In this two-hour talk, we discuss the common symptoms of the menopausal transition, what causes them, and what can be done. I'm also very interested in the implications of this stage of life as we move on from being the care-givers to our families and move on to the business of becoming our wiser selves to take care of the world. This is a talk that I'm giving for my business, so I do offer services near the end of it, but it's also a lot of information and sharing about a topic that is not often talked about but vitally important to women over 40. I hope you can make it. Space is limited to 12.

  • Embracing the Crone--over brunch

Bella Vista Caffe and Social Club, Phone 858-534-9624

"The word Crone is derived from the old word for crown, suggesting the wisdom that emanates from the head like a halo. Her own child bearing days are past; she is the wisdom keeper, seer and healer and midwife, whose knowledge is sought out to guide others during life's hardships and transitions." http://www.goddess-guide.com/crone.html Crone--what an awful word to describe a woman of a certain age! But what if I told you that the third age of womanhood is associated with the wisdom and the ability to threaten those in power. What happens when women don't care about being the good girl anymore and are free to be ourselves? Let's talk about it! Brunch--what a lovely word. The Bella Vista has great views and good food. Plus a mimosa special on the weekends if you like that sort of thing. Here is their home page: http://www.bellavistacaffe.com/ And here's the menu: http://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/b4cfb0_d62d0fffd42c49e6b2733b87fbc3f857.pdf My plan is not to meet here every month, but to switch things up until we have a pattern that works for us. I'd like us to always have check-in discussions to check up on how everyone is doing and also have an additional theme and/or activity. Just off the top of my head are the following (subject to great change, especially depending on the survey results:) Sunday, September 24, 10:00 am-- Torrey pines hike. Meet at the trailhead near the parking lot Sunday, October 6, 10:00 am --Embracing the Crone over Brunch--at the Bella Vista Social Club in Torrey Pines 2880 Torrey Pines Scenic Dr. La Jolla, CA 92037 November--Talk about Gratitude in our lives over a potluck dinner Time and place tba December--Charity/Gift exchange and talk about the year that has gone by. What have we learned from 2017 and what are we willing to let go in the new year? I would love to charge for this meetup and have it go to a women's charity. And I'd love for anyone interested to participate in a $10 "Secret Santa" gift exchange where everyone brings a wrapped gift and we swap. January-- Vision Board Party? Bring your glue sticks and inspiration to a vision board party and let's envision the future. I'm looking for a location for this one. There will be a small charge for materials. February--Let's talk about Love--do you get enough of it? How do you give and receive Love? How are you growing in this area or are you struggling? If we want to meet at my place in North Park, I will make a chocolate fondue. Yes, it can even be non-dairy. March--meditation? How about a crossover with a Shamanic group? April--Beach bonfire? May--Let's talk about motherhood and the younger generation. June--the Summer Solstice tba
