Soliciting topics and/or moderators

From: Vernon

Hi all,

I organized the “With An Open Mind” Discussion Group approximately a year and a half ago.  With occasional input from others, I’ve selected all topics.  With only one exception, I’ve moderated all discussions.  I enjoy doing both and will almost certainly continue doing so for the foreseeable future.  At the same time, I recognize the potential benefit of having other members actively involved in both of these processes.  I’ve therefore decided to explicitly solicit suggestions for topics.  If you hear or think of any topic you think would be suitable for “open minded” discussion, send me an email with your suggestion.  The only “restriction” is that it be a topic that doesn’t require any advance preparation on the part of the participants.

If any of you would be interested in moderating a discussion, please indicate your interest and I’d be happy to discuss it with you.  Others might welcome an alternative approach, and I might benefit from having to wait to be “recognized” before getting in my two cents worth (rather than “always” taking advantage of my typically privileged status as the “permanent” moderator <smile>).
