What we're about

Here at CrossFit Shuriken, we have one goal: we combat diseases associated with diet and aging. We do this by moving well, moving often, and moving in a variety of different ways. We utilize the strength and coordination of gymnastics, the explosiveness of olympic weightlifting, and endurance benefits of aerobic exercises to provide as much variety of movement as possible, and we do it in a fully supportive, safe, community based setting. What we do here is safe, effective, and 100% scaleable to the individual. This means that each and every movement can be modified to whatever skill level you're at in order to maximize the intended stimulus for the day. Whether you're a 50 year-old nine-to-five'er with no experience, or a collegiate athlete looking to take CrossFit to a competitive level, there is a place for you in each and every one of our classes.
​​Our classes are 1 hour long, and a typical class consists of a stretching/warm-up session, strength/skill portion, and workout of the day, or the "WOD". The stretching/warm-up is designed to prepare the needed areas of the body for that day for movement. The strength/skill portion is designed to accentuate the movements to be seen in the WOD. The WOD is usually high intensity, and geared towards producing fluidity of movement at high speed.
