This group is open to all* whether you are curious about mindfulness, feeling stressed out, or wanting to support an ongoing mindfulness practice. This meetup is organised by Guildford Meditation:

The weekly sessions are facilitated by trained mindfulness teachers and are comprised of a mixture of guided meditations, group discussion and short talks. Our intention is for the group to be open and accessible to all. The content is non-religious (all faiths are welcome) and we have chosen a venue located just 5 minutes walk from Woking train station.

*Attendee Suitability Guidelines:

Meditation and Mindfulness are suitable for most participants; however these practices may not be suitable for those with certain pre-existing mental health conditions. Please note that this group is not suitable for people actively experiencing substance dependence, PTSD, psychosis or suicidal thoughts. The group discussion provides an opportunity to hear about other people's experiences, and the teacher will help make sense of what's happening for the group. Q: Do I have to talk in the group? A: Other than saying your name at the beginning of the session, there is never any pressure to speak within the group. During each session there is an opportunity to talk within small groups (2-3 people) and also the wider group which can be a very beneficial way of learning mindfulness, however this is always a gentle invitation and you never need to talk even in the smaller groups if you don't wish to.
