Join us on the 25th of April for our next discussion in collaboration with Sainsbury's. There will be a series of discussions on the trials, tribulations and triumphs of women in DevOps. Discussing technical experiences that others had witnessed during their careers with a panel Q&A after the talks.
A balanced workforce drives innovation and we believe that businesses need to do more than attract and retain women into their communities, we exist to bridge that gap. THIS IS AN EVENT FREE AND OPEN TO ALL!
We will be providing complimentary food and drinks. So join us to be inspired, engaged and empowered. This is a free event for all to attend.

Kayla Shapiro - Site Reliability Engineer at BBC
Kat Liu - Backend Engineer at N26
With a background in mathematics and computer science, Kayla joined the BBC in February 2017. A Site Reliability Engineer, Kayla enjoys living Californian stereotypes such as hiking and doing yoga at the mountaintop.
I'm a backend engineer with about 5 years of experience in industry. I'm currently at N26, working on authentication and distributed applications. I've worked extensively with microservice architectures, relational/non-relational databases, and synchronous/asynchronous messaging patterns. Due to our strong DevOps culture at N26, I've also spent a fair share of my time provisioning machines, granting resource permissions, and working with deployment pipelines. When I'm not at work, you can find me either at the mixed martial arts gym, getting my butt kicked in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, playing guitar, cooking, or riding my bike!
