Web programming talk and job opportunities: Hack Night: Organized Web Frameworks Rails talk

From: Francesca
Sent on: Saturday, April 13, 2013 8:17 PM

We have a special guest from Austin coming to give a talk at this week's Hack Night about how to best organize code in your app.

Skinny Controllers, Fat Models!! This has been the mantra for the past few years, now we are left with rails applications with hugely fat models doing more the just database persistance. Enter Presenters, a technique that will slim down your models and move the logic out into another object making it easier to keep your code clean and testable.

Nola Stowe, born and raised south of Chicago is visiting from Austin,TX. She works at Classified Ventures based out of Chicago in their Austin, TX office. And is interested in chatting with any Rails developers interested in a position in their Chicago office.
