Webinar hosted by Thoughtworks on ways to stay current in tech

From: Melissa P.
Sent on: Friday, May 3, 2013 4:43 PM

Thought this might be interesting to some of our members.

Wednesday, May 8th / 12:00 noon CT

During this one-hour webinar, two ThoughtWorks software developers (bios below) will provide some insight on how they stay current in technology. Curiosity and the continual improvement 'gene' are important in our industry and these women look forward to sharing resources and encouraging you to use those characteristics to your advantage as you break into the tech world.

Long-time ThoughtWorker and recruiter for our Junior Consultant Program, Julie Connors, will then give a brief overview of our hiring process, which we hope you'll begin with us!

We'll close with plenty of time to answer questions.

About the developers:

Holly Bowen is a Senior Developer. Since joining in 2006, she's delivered software in multiple domains and languages across the US. Outside of client projects, she participates in our mentorship committee.

Kelly Wu came to ThoughtWorks almost two years ago with a background in Anthropology and a passion for software. She started in our Junior Consultant Program and quickly became a vital part of her delivery teams. Kelly was a main organizer for RailsGirlsChicago last fall and runs an internal Scala study group.
