Women Creating Art, Together Meetup

This group is for women to engage in the work of creating art, together. Painting, Collage, Drawing... whatever you do- bring it and we will inspire one another to joyful productivity. I wanted to form a group of women who are supportive and goal-directed to use the activity of art-making both as catharsis and as motivation to get their work into the world. Primarily, we will meet at my home unless otherwise stated. We may have other events that help inform our work, such as visiting galleries and museums. I plan on having some discussion about where we are 'at' in our process at each group meeting. A voluntary-participation critique may be part of the process... the 'how to' will evolve. I have been a professional illustrator my entire adult life and wish to move toward the fine art realm. I also play guitar and sing and dance. I envision some times when, during our creating of art, someone might share a poem or play music if they like- but the primary focus is to make art, together. Looking forward to productive, informative, delightful meetings!
