What we're about
This is a new group for women aged 58+ who are retired (partially or fully) who want to explore and discuss issues we are facing at this stage of life. Navigating the transition from the hectic work world to retirement is an adjustment for many women, and has its joys and challenges. What steps are you taking to stay active, healthy, and engaged, and enjoy your "best life"?
- To gather with bright, energetic women to engage in lively, positive discussions about this new chapter of our lives. Unlike other groups, this group will be all about having conversations, and not about planned events such as attending concerts, movies, etc.
- We'll typically meet during the week for coffee, breakfast, or lunch. (Explore "cheap eats" options in the area.)
- Each meeting will feature a focused topic for discussion relevant to women at this time in our lives, such as retirement lifestyle, transitions, health and well-being, family and relationships, finding your purpose, hobbies, travel, volunteering, caregiving, fitness & exercise, etc. A link to a brief article to be read ahead of time will be provided, which will be used to kick off the discussion. Come prepared to share your thoughts, and listen to others!
-Learn from each other, share information and have some fun! Build a community of returning members in a relaxed environment that supports interesting conversations, connections and new friendships.
A photo of yourself is required, not your pet or favorite scenic photo, as it's helpful for identification as we get to know each other.
Common courtesies are expected. If you RSVP "YES" and plans change, please change your RSVP status to "NO", or let me know if it's last minute. Repeated "no show" members will be removed from the group.
Dining Out: For dining out/drinks, each member is responsible to pay for what one eats and drinks plus a 20% tip and tax.
