What we're about

Hikers, walkers, climbers and/or backpackers of ALL LEVELS looking for adventure while developing the skills and fitness necessary to embark upon longer multi-day hikes. In our quest to go where the wi-fi is weak our meetups will vary in length, location, and intensity. Possible outings may include easy 3 mile sunset hikes, peak challenges, technical full moon treks, and vigorous multi-day excursions. We are an exclusive group open just to women, all you really need is the willingness to lace up and hit the trails.

Adventures on our horizon: coast to crest challenge, mission trails 5 peak challenge, overnight backpack trips, six pack peaks, the trans-Catalina trail, the John Muir trail, and sectional PCT hikes.

THE LOST COAST TRAIL. (MULTIDAY BACKPACK TRIP)

Mattole Campground

FEW THINGS: **If you are interested PLEASE put yourself on the waitlist, it is my experience that Meetups RSVP's arent the most reliable. Happy Trails!! 1) I applied for a special use permit since we have so many women interested in this amazing trip. This is good for up to 15 people. Trying to qualify for non-organized group since this will save us approximately $110.00 in fees. 2) I currently have an individual permit for 5 people and I am holding this to see if I can include some of you wait-listers on this reservation. 3) We will discuss the specific details and the tentative itinerary in the very near future. Thinking we can have a few info meetings ESPECIALLY to sort out gear sharing in order to limit our loads (Hello we had 4 Jet Boils for 5 people on our TCT, so stupid). 4) BEAR CANISTERS ARE A MUST!!! You can either purchase or rent - BLM has them for $5.00 or Lost Coast Adventure for $20.00. 5) We WILL need a shuttle service which is approx $85.00 a person; I have a few calls out for private shuttles in an effort to reduce this expense. 6) Please be aware that although this is a shorter through hike it is on some very difficult terrain. We will be covering about 8 miles a day. 7) TICKS, rattlesnakes, poison ivy, and bears are a very REAL concern and you should make sure to plan accordingly for these nuisances on the trail. With that said - I AM OHHHHHH SO EXCITED!!!!
