Join Women Who Code DC for a workshop on how to create your first (or 100th!) blog post and launch a fulfilling side project.

Ali is a Python and JavaScript developer and a lead instructor at General Assembly. She is a frequent blogger, contributing to FreeCodeCamp, and Dev.to, and wrote over 30 posts last year. In July, she launched a new blog The Zen of Programming. Her posts have over 185,000 reads in the past month. She is also an active speaker in the tech community, having lended her voice to CodeHer, Mid Atlantic Dev Con, and IndyCodes().

Ali will go over:
- The elements of a good blog post
- How to find your niche as a writer
- All of the platforms and partnerships available (Medium, Dev.to, etc.)
- How to grow and nurture a following

You’ll walk away with:
- A draft outline of your first blog post
- A list of topics for future posts

Also join our Slack group (WWCDC's online community to ask for technical help and network with other women in tech): bit.ly/wwcdcslack

This event is intended to be exclusively open for women; we are trans* friendly.
