Join Women Who Code and Black Code Collective this month for a fun-filled evening learning all about Microservices, containerizing Microservices using Docker, and deploying these containers via the container orchestration system Kubernetes. Our speakers include Michelle Marble, lead cloud engineer and developer for Cloudreach and Zuri Hunter, software engineer and developer for Mapbox.
- Michelle Marble (Cloudreach) - Lead Cloud Engineer/Developer with over 17 years experience, she has held various roles from big data engineer/architect, program manager, and backend developer to now working as a cloud agnostic engineer at Cloudreach.
- Zuri Hunter (Mapbox) - Software engineer/developer with over 6 years experience, she has held various roles from technologist to Software developer working for global companies such as HumanGeo and DigitalGlobe to now Mapbox. Outside of building amazing applications she volunteers heavily with Women Who Code DC as a Ruby on Rails Lead and Black Girls Code as Technical Lead.
Food and refreshments will be provided.
Note: Parking is FREE after 5pm in Reston Town Center. The closest parking garage is the Green garage.
This event is intended to be exclusively open for people who identify as women - we are transgender friendly.
