Self study is an essential part of every programmer's journey, whether you're a senior engineer or a person just now scratching the surface of web dev. So come study with us at Riffyn every third Tuesday of the month! We're going through tutorials, working on projects, reviewing each other's code, answering questions, and making friends (awww).

This study group is hosted by Riffyn (https://riffyn.com/)in their lovely space right next to the 19th st. BART station in downtown Oakland.

1. self-directed

Bring any programming related project you'd like to work on! If you don't yet have your own project or tutorial, please check out the WWCode Learning Resources (https://github.com/WomenWhoCode/guidelines-resources/blob/master/learn_to_program.md).

2. for developers of all levels

We mean it... you're welcome to come even if you have yet to make a thing that "Hello World"s at you. This can be the meetup where it finally happens!

Schedule:

6:30 pm welcome/ introductions

6:45 pm dinner (sponsored by Riffyn)

7:15 pm study/hack

9:00 pm pry yourself from your projects and head home :)

Transportation Details

BART: Riffyn is a few blocks from the 12th st. BART station!

Driving: There are quite a few lots nearby. Check http://www.bestparking.com/oakland-parking/ for hours and type of lot (there are a lot of outdoor lots, but looks like the closest covered lot may be the Kaiser center).

Bicycling: There are bike racks and lockers in the 12th st. station, as well as street parking. There's also a bike station near 19th, but you'll have to leave us a little early (it closes at 9pm).
