We are excited to host our first in-person event this year! We've selected an outdoor venue and will not be moving it inside, so in the case of inclement weather, we'll make an announcement about rescheduling.

This will be an informal hangout and an ask me anything event with our guest Cassandra Wilcox, CTO of Statusphere.

Cassandra Wilcox went to high school in Cicero, IN. She is a self-taught web developer turned CTO of Orlando-based word-of-mouth marketing startup, Statusphere. She first started coding with Myspace, copy/pasting HTML and CSS to customize her profile before she knew what any of it meant. She found her first paid web development jobs on craigslist when jQuery was the most advanced JavaScript library available. She worked at a digital agency for several years building custom CMS templates for DotNetNuke until she transitioned to the app-dev team to build the front-end of an online video platform using Angular.js. In 2015 she started Code Hangar, a software development company that specializes in building 8-week MVPs for startups, acting as CEO and full-stack engineer. At the beginning of 2020, she accepted the title of CTO at Statusphere and is now working to scale the venture backed startup and lead innovations in the online social shopping space.

Please come prepared with questions you have for Cassandra, focused on her educational background, career path, and day to day work as CTO of Statusphere.

If we get a lot of RSVPs, we may add another speaker so that we can spread out to different tables.

Agenda:
6-6:15pm - Chat and Network
6:15-7pm - Introduction to Cassandra and Questions
