7:15pm PST: Stand up over another group call on Zoom, to each share what we accomplished and our respective next steps. Share contact info if we want to support each other in-between hack nights! (15 min)

1. In order to encourage attendance and interaction, these sessions will no longer be recorded. This was our policy before the pandemic, to encourage people to attend our events and provide the speaker with an engaged audience. Because the world is re-opening and we have seen attendance drop significantly, we have decided to return to our no-recordings policy for this series.
2. Please come prepared with questions! We want to try to make these sessions more interactive. Since we are not recording we hope everyone feels more comfortable sharing their questions and interacting during the session.

AGENDA:

The general format for this series is a 30-45 min. Presentation/demo (optionally), followed by up to 15-30 min. of Q&A.
This session is scheduled for 1 hour.

Database Design.
Topics:

• What is a Database?
• Relational vs. Non-relational Database.
• Data structure and modeling.
• Design Practices.
• Example and Demo (in SQL for Relational data).
• Q & A and open discussion.

• Prachi Shah is a Director & Instructor at WWCode San Francisco, a Sr. Software Engineer and Technical Leader with 11+ years of professional experience. Her main focus has been Product Engineering for the past 8 years, with strong experience in Platform Engineering & Data Modeling.
