Join us to jumpstart your journaling practice this spring!

Many writers use their journal to process their everyday experiences and develop the ideas that may blossom into longer pieces of work. Learning a few key journaling techniques can take any writer to new depths in their writing practice.

The Journal to the Self® workshop is a 12-hour course on how to keep a journal for personal growth, creative expression, and life enrichment. It was created in 1985 by Kathleen Adams LPC, PTR, Director of the Center for Journal Therapy, Inc., and an internationally known pioneer and expert in the power of writing to heal. The early years of the workshop formed the research base for Kathleen Adams’ best-selling book, Journal to the Self, published by Warner Books in 1990 (since acquired by Grand Central Publishing).

More than 100,000 people around the globe have learned this easy, effective, empowering model of journal keeping through the Journal to the Self-method. This program is useful for new and experienced writers of all ages and backgrounds at all different stages of their life journey.

Join certified facilitators Jennifer Wolfe and Meg Rohal to explore how your journal can become an even more integral part of your life's journey to self-awareness and fulfillment.

We are offering this 6-week program in alternating locations between the beach and Riverside to accommodate writers all over Jacksonville. We will begin the first session in Riverside, the home base of Women Writing for (a) Change, Jacksonville.

This class is an excellent introduction to the Writing Through Transitions series that immediately follows it for six additional weeks of writing. Those who register for both classes will get a price break. Early Bird pricing also available.

Tuition: $225 includes $15 workbook and journal of your choice from our local artist collection. (Early Bird rate $200). Combined with WTT series: $375.
