Join us on Orcas Island for Creativity days !
• What we'll do Camp Indralaya is a community of beautiful rustic cabins surrounding a lodge on the ocean in Orcas Island . Food is organic and vegetarian- Price for overnights and great food is just between $45-70 a night. This is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world and will speak to the heart of those who love to see nature preserved and share in community with thoughtful , kind people . Find Info at : www.indralaya.org It is important to reserve early , because we need a ferry too get over ( reservations only) Here is the writ- up for Creativity week : We will spend our time at Indralaya, in the company of the spirits of the natural world, exploring personal and collective creative processes–working in clay, creating manadala, and telling our stories in poetry and prose. There will be opportunities to dive deeper into your experience of any of these art forms and to explore pathways of creativity that may be new to you. Together we will ignite the spark of creativity which is what being human is all about. Ceramic artist Penny Sharp Sky is joined by Michelle Reed, painter and poet. Penny Sharp Sky will share her dance with clay and encourage finding ways to create and re-create our world in the dimensions that mud affords! Work with clay is at once grounding and uplifting, relaxing and energizing. It lends itself to both individual exploration and communal creation. Michelle Reed will weave the color of words and paint through our days of creation and integration. Bringing words on board will help us to revel in new ways of seeing, of telling stories ancient and new. Prior drawing, painting, writing, or sculpting experience is not needed to participate fully in this process of discovery. • What to bring • Important to know

What we're about

Would you like to explore local wilderness and some neat womens' favorite hikes and snowshoe routes? Are you available mid week twice a month? Do you like the company of dogs( the happiness and the dirt they bring) ? Would you like to socialize during carpool and at meals but be more quiet on walks? If this all is true for you and you are fit enough to walk about 6 miles at a time, resourceful enough to afford a night in a B&B and are a problem solver instead of a whiner when things go wrong this group is for you !
