What we're about
The Essex County Branch of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) is reorganizing and will be of particular interest to women and men who want to work for peace and social justice at the local, state, national, and international level.
WILPF was founded in 1915 during WWI, with Jane Addams as its first president. WILPF works to achieve disarmament, full rights for women, racial and economic justice, and an end to all forms of violence.
The Essex County Branch of WILPF has been active for many years, working to create the political, social, and psychological conditions which can assure peace, freedom, and justice for all.
Our Branch meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month (with some exceptions) from 5:30 to 7 PM at the Montclair Cooperative School's Annex, 65 Chestnut Street in Montclair. Meetings are free and open to all.
We hope you will join us in working toward a better world for everyone.
