• Transforming Agriculture: Using tech & weather data as essential ingredients

Every day, extreme weather events and climatic change threaten the agriculture and food production sector. On Tuesday, September 3rd, Kanika Anand of Syngenta's Global Agronomic Risk Mitigation department will share with us, technology's role in managing these risks and how a digital service is safeguarding the future of agriculture. You can expect to learn how she is helping farmers across the world to protect their crops against unexpected weather conditions with entirely new weather protection methods. We'll also have time for a drink and some snacks. We'll provide the drinks, but ask you to bring along a snack. Hope you can join us! If you like to take photos, please do take some and share here, as we really need some help on the photography front. Doors open: 18:30 Presentation and discussion: 19:00 - 20:00 Apéro: 20:00 Event ends: 21.00 About Kanika Kanika left in 2016 the aerospace industry, leading her into the agronomic risk mitigation team of Syngenta. She soon realized that there’s more to weather and its risks and found her new interest and challenge slowly turning into a passion. Although her first love were satellites, rockets, and aircraft, she managed to find the connection between both and left her home in The Netherlands to enter a whole other world of crops, world food production and weather analytics in Switzerland.
