What we're about

Women of Culture is aimed at women living in London and surrounding areas who would like to:

- meet and make new friends with women from other ethnicities and cultures
- increase their knowledge of different cultures, whether through food, art, music, theatre, or travel
- enjoy and experience more of London life and the various cultural events on offer
- travel to interesting places in and out of London with a group of friendly, interesting women.

Meetups will be fun and interesting and as much as possible educational and empowering too. We will go to restaurants to try different cuisines, to festivals, on walks, attend debates, as well as visit museums and other places of interest to members in or out of London.

If you love Lebanese food or you would like to learn more about Mexican culture, attend a Latin American festival or even fancy trying something different such as belly dancing, then this is the group for you.

Whether you are Spanish, British, French, Moroccan, Chinese, Jamaican, or otherwise…if you see yourself as a Woman of Culture, or if you’d love to learn and experience other cultures in this cosmopolitan city we live in then I look forward to meeting you!

Some meetups will incur a 2.00-3.00 pounds per person admin fee, depending on the amount of admin needed to organise the event. This is non-refundable unless the meetup is cancelled. For some other meetups, a deposit will be required to secure your space.

Please note: As the organiser of this meetup, I pay a monthly fee to keep this group running. Any admin costs that are paid to me assists with this. In addition, any monies paid to me by group members are justifiable due to the fact that as the organiser time is involved in the running of this group. I do not make a profit from monies paid by Women of Culture members.

RSVP Etiquette

Members who RSVP 'Yes' but do not respond or turn up to an event at least THREE times will be removed from the group. This is to ensure courtesy, respect, and fairness to all members and myself, as the organiser of Women of Culture. It is important to have a true reflection of how many members will be attending an event, so that members can make an informed decision whether to attend or not and for myself whether it is worthwhile the meetup taking place or not if there will only be a small number of members attending.
