The older we get, the more we understand that the women who know and love us – and love us despite what they know about us – are the joists that hold up the house of our existence. Everything depends on them. Anna Quindlen, Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake
Do you find yourself thinking about all the friends you’ve had and the ones you hope are right around the corner? It’s awkward to make new friends as an adult. As life changes, our friendships change too. That’s why this group was formed. We are a group of women who love reading and socializing.
Our goal is to form new friendships among a diverse group of women. We laugh, we eat, we talk about books and then veer off into discussions that often have nothing to do with the book. Just like life, we don’t always stay on track.
We do have a few guidelines...
Please use a current photo for your profile, this is to ensure you are who you say you are.
New members should attend at least one meeting/event within the first three months of membership. This is a security measure and we'd also like to meet you.
Members must have a willingness to host meetings or at least be able to co-host with another member whether at a home or public venue so that we all share the responsibilities of running this group.
As a courtesy to hostesses, members should cancel their RSVP within 48 hours of a meeting. We understand that occasionally there are unforeseeable events that do not allow for this timeframe, but please change your RSVP accordingly. Consistent last minute changes count as a No Show. Three No Shows in a row and you will be removed from the roster.
We have a No Solicitation/Self-Promotion policy. We do not schedule parties with the intent to sell goods or services, take part in multi-level marketing activities or post messages promoting or advertising businesses.
