    What we're about

    Private Group

Welcome to the Women of Gilbert Book Club! We meet monthly on Sunday afternoons to discuss what books we have been reading lately. We vote on a certain theme or genre for the following month and then we each choose our own book. We usually leave each meeting with some great ideas for new books to explore. You don't need to live in Gilbert to be part of the group, but downtown Gilbert is our typical meeting spot.

Wondering if this Meetup is for you?

"Our members are voracious readers who are eager to learn more about books that other people are reading. We read an eclectic array of books and we are not afraid of getting into discussions that perhaps delve into difficult topics. Finally we are a friendly group that is open to new ideas and viewpoints." -- has been attending since December 2010

"A great group of avant-garde women who want to read and talk about challenging literature - fictional and non-fictional. This is NOT your chic-lit group... We're clever, raucous, valiant, and not afraid to use a dictionary!" -- SWOG since August 2010 (SWOG stands for "smart women of Gilbert").
